Wow~ it has been a long time since I have featured a book on this blog. Summer has been going by so fast, and it seems like there is not enough time in the day. At least this summer is warm unlike almost every other Wisconsin summer!

We will be meeting in the Balkansky Community Room. We'll talk about the books and I will bring any books that are currently available.
The last film will be in theatres starting tonight at the midnight showing. Strand Cinema is hosting a Harry Potter party beforehand. Make sure to purchase tickets ahead of time. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 is the last movie in the Harry Potter saga.

This week's summer reading prize is... CHAMBER BUCKS! There will be 3 drawings for $10 Chamber Bucks to be used in Manitowoc businesses! Entries must be submitted no later than 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 16th.

Beads for Life was a success on Saturday!! Thank you to all teen volunteers that assisted in selling the beads! We have raised $299 so far for the women and families in Africa!!
The Manitowoc Bandits have a double-header on Sunday, July 10th at Municipal Field. Show your library card to receive free entry into the game. There are games at 1 and 3 PM.
Fill out a downtown scavenger form to participate in the scavenger hunt next Tuesday, July 12th. Each team will receive their first clue in the Balkansky Community Room at 1:00 pm. This will lead them to 10 different downtown Manitowoc businesses.
The first team to find all 10 clues will need to put the clues together to solve the puzzle leading them to their final destination. The first team to arrive will receive a prize!
The prize this week will be for 2 $15 itunes gift cards as well as a Johnny Cash CD. There will be three winners! Get your slips in before Saturday at 1:00!
Don't forget to stop by the library on Saturday (8:00-1:00) - we have the Krazy Daze book sale as well as Friends of the Library are selling Beads for Life materials. All proceeds benefit the women and children in Uganda.
