It turns out, the sleazy nightclub owner did it! Despite multiple attempts to throw everyone off her trail Vera Sin (brought to vibrant life by Jenny), did indeed commit the murder of artist Ronnie McIntosh during today's Murder program, despite her claims of innocence. Bravo for the repeated fainting spells to try and drive the point home! I do think it is interesting that Jenny started off wanting to play the role of the victim and ended up being the culprit...
Everyone did a great job getting into character and digging for clues while trying to prove their innocence. Kudos to Hunter for tackling the role of Miss Lemming and her stalkery ways - despite everyone pointing to her as a primary suspect, she still remained innocent (though no less weird and creepy). Also a tip of the hat to Angela's Amelia Fairfart - not only for dealing with so much suspicion but also taking on that name!
Really, thanks to everyone who took part:
Belinda (aka Ernest Shingleton)
Rebecca (aka Otto von Blockwurst)
John (aka Captain Pastings)
Teresa (aka Mother Inferior)
Katelyn (aka Laura Ghastly)
Haley (aka Marc D'Triumph)
Makayla (aka Hercule Perond)
Here is the site where I got that mystery from: Host-Party

Coming Monday: MURDER!

Don't miss our next YA program coming up on Monday, July 6: Murder!
This is your chance to test out your skills as a detective as we enact a murder and try to figure out the culprit. Of course, in order to solve a mystery, we need suspects - that is where you come in. We will pull the list of suspicious characters from those who attend, so be prepared to dust off your acting skills, as well!
The foul deeds get started at 2 p.m., but don't be shy about getting there a little early - every murder needs a victim, too...

Coming in August: Book Discussions
Even though the Summer Reading Program wraps up in July, there is still plenty to do at the library in August! Not the least of which will be a pair of book discussions on the Twilight series and the Harry Potter Series. The Twilight discussion will take place on August 10 at 2 p.m. That is where you can discuss any and all aspects of the series with fellow Twilight readers. From favorites characters and scenes to things that don't quite sit right with you, we will cover it all.
The following week, on August 17, come back for a look at the Harry Potter books. Same deal here: discuss what you like and don't like (and maybe future Potter story ideas) starting at 2 p.m.Both discussions will take place in the Balkansky Room. You do not need to have taken part in the Summer Reading Program to take part.
